October 1, 2025 - In a massive announcement today, Xbox has completely overhauled its popular Game Pass subscription service. Say goodbye to the old tiers; the service is now structured into three new, value-packed plans designed to offer more choice to players: Essential, Premium, and Ultimate.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ($29.99/mo)

The top tier just got a monumental upgrade. For players who want absolutely everything, Ultimate now includes two massive new perks at no extra cost:

Fortnite Crew Included: Starting November 18, subscribers get a full Fortnite Crew membership (an $11.99/month value), which includes the Battle Pass, 1,000 V-Bucks monthly, and exclusive cosmetics.
Ubisoft+ Classics Included: A curated library of Ubisoft’s greatest hits like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is now part of the subscription (a $7.99/month value).

On top of this, Ultimate members get over 75 day one game releases a year, including huge upcoming titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Hollow Knight: Silksong. Cloud gaming quality has also been boosted to 1440p, and the library now features over 400 games, including the full EA Play catalog.

Xbox Game Pass Premium ($14.99/mo)

The old "Standard" plan has evolved into Premium, and it's better than ever. This tier is for players who want a massive library of games across multiple devices.

Premium now includes access to 200+ games on Console, PC, and Cloud. The biggest news is the addition of blockbuster titles like Diablo IV and Hogwarts Legacy, which are available to play starting today. Premium subscribers will also get new games from Xbox Game Studios within a year of their launch.

Xbox Game Pass Essential ($9.99/mo)

The entry-level "Core" tier is now Essential, and it's received a huge boost in value. For the same price, Essential now includes:

A curated library of 50+ games on both Console and PC, including hits like Hades and Stardew Valley.
Unlimited Cloud Gaming, allowing you to play games on supported devices without a console.
Online Multiplayer access to play with friends.

Major Price Hike and New TL Prices for Türkiye

While the global pricing saw a significant increase, the price hike in Türkiye is far more dramatic. The monthly price for the top-tier Ultimate plan, for instance, has jumped by approximately 167% locally. This marks a major turning point for gamers in the region.

Here are the new official Game Pass prices for Türkiye:

Game Pass Essential: 269 TL / month
Game Pass Premium: 409 TL / month
Game Pass Ultimate: 799 TL / month
PC Game Pass (standalone): 449 TL / month

These new prices are effective immediately for new subscribers. For existing members, the new pricing will be applied starting November 4th, 2025.

What Happens to My Current Subscription?
